It is our great pleasure to invite you to attend and contribute to the International Conference on Information Complexity and Statistical Modeling in High Dimensions with Applications (IC-SMHD-2016) to be held at the Cappadocia region of Turkey during May 18-21, 2016.
IC-SMHD-2016 will establish an international cooperative relation with Turkey and Turkish Statistical Science researchers, students and modelers.
As part of the conference, IC-SMHD-2016 will feature a Festschrift honoring Prof. Dr. Hamparsum (Ham) Bozdoğan, Toby McKenzie Professor at the University of Tennessee, for his outstanding contributions not just to the domain of information complexity and model selection enterprise in high-dimensions, but also to his international outreach contributions in disseminating statistical knowledge to the young future scholars from many different countries, including Turkey.
The scientific theme and the program of IC-SMHD-2016 will include sessions with invited and contributed talks, and poster presentations from a broad range of topics from all over the world.
The theme of IC-SMHD-2016 is planned around innovative cutting edge and challenging interdisciplinary research and the interaction between theory and practice of information complexity and statistical modeling problems with applications to “small sample, and large dimensions” (n<<p) wide data and n>p skinny data in areas such as bio-informatics, computer science, engineering analytics, business and econometrics, finance analytics, healthcare and medical analytics where information complexity and statistical modeling plays an important key role.
We sincerely hope that you will join us and share a fruitful moment in this unique environment.
